This page explains what juliettedecor.com stores in your browser, what each item is for and how to change your choice.
1. What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser so that it can remember something from one page to the next, or from one visit to the next. Local storage does the same job, with one difference: cookies are sent to the website every time you open a page, while anything kept in local storage stays in your browser. This website uses both.
2. What the website needs in order to work
The website keeps these two items in local storage so that the basket and the cookie notice work. They’re needed for the website to do what you ask of it, which is why the law allows them to be stored without your consent.
| Name | What it’s for | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| jd-cesta | Stores the pieces you add to your basket. It is emptied when you send your order. | Sixty days from the last change to the basket |
| jd-consentimiento | Remembers whether you have accepted or rejected analytics, so that you aren’t asked again on every visit. | Twelve months |
3. Analytics cookies, only if you accept them
If you press ‘Accept’ in the cookie notice, the website loads Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people find most interesting. Google Analytics then sets these two cookies in your browser. They’re set under the juliettedecor.com domain and managed by Google:
| Name | What it’s for | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Tells one browser from another with a random number, to count visitors and visits. | Twelve months from your last visit |
| _ga_GS8QJMMVB1 | Remembers the current visit, to count visits and the pages viewed in each one. | Twelve months from your last visit |
We use Google Analytics for statistics only, with Google Signals and ad personalisation turned off. If you press ‘Reject’, the website doesn’t load Google Analytics and deletes any cookies left over from a previous visit.
4. Statistics without cookies
The website also uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and measure how long each page takes to load. It works without cookies and without local storage.
5. Security check on the forms
Cloudflare Turnstile loads only on the contact and order pages, from challenges.cloudflare.com, and checks that the person sending the form is human. Cloudflare uses the technical data it collects to detect and block bots and to improve that detection, as it explains in its Turnstile privacy addendum (cloudflare.com/turnstile-privacy-policy).
6. How to change your choice
You can change your choice whenever you like with the ‘Cookie preferences’ button at the bottom of every page. You can also delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. If you clear local storage, your basket is emptied too.
7. Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Google and Cloudflare are US companies. The data they process may leave the European Economic Area, under the safeguards of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
