KAISEKI acacia wood plates

Acacia wood is durable even outdoors, which is why it’s used for furniture as well as for posts and beams in building, for flooring and for boatbuilding.
It stands up well to damp and to attack by fungi or insects. It’s fairly heavy, with a density of about 770 kg/m³.
Its colours range from yellow to brown, taking on red tones as it ages.

This wood is known as Robinia pseudoacacia and comes from North America, although today it grows in many countries with a temperate climate, where it costs about the same as oak and ash.

Because they’re made from a biodegradable material, these plates are a sustainable choice.

Caring for your wooden pieces:
1. Wash by hand in hot water with a little mild soap.
2. Dry with a cloth rather than leaving to air-dry.
3. Every two months, rub in a little oil with a soft cloth.
